NTX empowers young adults through inclusive, growth‑focused education that combines rigorous academics, hands‑on co‑op engagement, and clear pathways to postsecondary success. We cultivate belonging, academic resilience, and practical skills so every student can pursue meaningful credentials and purposeful work.
NTX will be a regional model for accessible, accreditation‑ready secondary education where students from diverse backgrounds complete high school prepared for college, career, or ministry. We envision a learning community defined by high expectations, supportive families, and partnerships that expand opportunity and reduce financial barriers.
Welcome to NTX. This handbook explains admissions, required documentation, academic pathways (NTX diploma, LETU dual credit, TSCU), fees and billing, parent commitments, safety expectations, and legal releases. Completion of the NTX New Student Registration and submission of required documents creates an accreditation‑ready student file. Contact NTX Admissions at admissions@ntxschool.org for assistance.
Complete the NTX New Student Registration and provide requested documentation.
Required documents (upload or mail): official transcript (course titles, credits, grades, grading scale), immunization record or valid exemption, IEP/504 plan (if applicable), custody/guardianship documentation (if applicable), physician medication authorization (if applicable).
Indicate whether transcripts will be uploaded or mailed; NTX may withhold credit evaluation and course placement until official records are received.
NTX will confirm receipt, notify families of missing documents, and schedule credit evaluations and counselor consultations as needed.
Pathways: NTX diploma, LETU dual credit, Texas Seminary Christian University (TSCU) pathway. Families select pathway during registration.
LETU dual credit: $99 per credit hour; textbooks and course materials may incur additional costs. Course syllabi and grading rubrics will be provided by the instructor or institution before enrollment.
TSCU: Nationally accredited; bachelor’s program cost is $6,500. Scholarships are available for NTX Honors Society students. Course descriptions, syllabi, and fees will be provided before enrollment.
NTX acts as a facilitator for partner institutions and is independent of them; partner institutions control curriculum, grading, and admission decisions.
NTX records grades from two sources: grades issued by partner postsecondary institutions (e.g., LETU, TSCU) and grades from NTX‑delivered courses. Both appear on the NTX student file and official NTX transcripts.
Course descriptions, syllabi, assessment schedules, and grading rubrics will be provided prior to enrollment by the course instructor or partner institution. Students are responsible for reviewing and complying with syllabus requirements.
NTX will issue official transcripts upon graduation or by authorized request. Transcripts include NTX and partner institution grades as reported.
Accelerated, dual‑credit, CLEP, and other college‑level credits may not transfer to all colleges or universities. NTX does not guarantee transferability, admission to postsecondary institutions, successful completion of dual‑credit or CLEP exams, or awarding of college credit by receiving institutions. Students are responsible for confirming transfer policies with prospective institutions.
Core fees:
Registration fee: $200 (one‑time, due at enrollment).
Monthly tuition: $80 per student (billed monthly) — waived while a student remains an active, paid full‑time LETU or TSCU student.
LETU dual credit: $99 per credit hour; textbooks and course materials may add cost.
TSCU bachelor’s program cost: $6,500; scholarships available to NTX Honors Society students.
Graduation fee: $350.
Honors Society fee: $150.
Student club and athletics fees: published at signup.
Social event fees (Winter Ball, Prom, etc.): announced and billed before each event.
All fees are part of the Founders Discounted Tuition Program; fees are expected to increase for the 2026 school year. Students who meet academic requirements for the 2025–2026 school year will be grandfathered into current rates.
Payment methods: credit card/ACH, check, or approved payment plan. Scholarship requests must include documentation. NTX may withhold records, grades, or diplomas for unpaid balances in accordance with policy.
Co‑op families must complete 20 hours of Teacher Aid service per semester. Activities that qualify include classroom aide shifts, event setup/breakdown, chaperoning, tutoring, administrative support, and other NTX‑approved tasks.
Track hours using the NTX volunteer sign‑in sheet or online volunteer tracker within two weeks of service. Semester end is the deadline to meet the 20‑hour requirement.
Unmet hours fee: $10 per hour for hours not completed by semester end; fees will be invoiced to the family account.
Requests for exemptions or adjustments must be submitted to NTX administration prior to the semester start and will be considered case by case for documented hardship.
Maintain current immunization records or submit a valid exemption. Notify NTX of medical conditions, allergies, and medications. Provide physician medication authorizations where medication is required during school activities.
Upload current IEP or 504 plans; NTX will coordinate reasonable accommodations based on documentation and in compliance with applicable law.
NTX follows emergency medical protocols and will attempt to contact guardians prior to treatment; NTX may authorize emergency care if guardians cannot be reached. Families are financially responsible for medical treatment.
NTX maintains policies to ensure a safe learning environment: student conduct expectations, anti‑bullying standards, search and seizure procedures consistent with law, emergency response plans, and mandated reporting obligations.
NTX reserves the right to suspend or remove a student from programs for health, safety, or conduct reasons. Disciplinary actions may include warnings, restitution, suspension, probation, or expulsion depending on severity.
Students must follow teacher, coach, and supervisor directions and adhere to safety protocols for in‑person and off‑campus activities. Failure to comply may result in removal from activities.
Participation in athletics, clubs, and student organizations involves inherent risks of injury, illness, or property loss. Parent/guardian assumes full responsibility for evaluating the student’s fitness to participate and for obtaining any required medical clearances.
NTX, its staff, volunteers, and specifically named individuals (including Chasity Smith and LaMiya Smith) are not liable for injuries, accidents, illnesses, or loss arising from participation except where willful misconduct or gross negligence is proven under applicable law. Parents/guardians authorize NTX to seek emergency medical treatment when necessary and agree to be financially responsible for such care. Proof of insurance may be required for certain activities.
Suggested acknowledgement (for form checkbox): “I acknowledge the risks of participation, assume responsibility for my student’s fitness and insurance, and release NTX, staff, Chasity Smith, and LaMiya Smith from liability for injuries or accidents except for proven gross negligence.”
NTX may arrange transportation for field trips and events; where third‑party carriers are used, NTX is not liable for their conduct or accidents except where NTX exercises direct control and gross negligence is proven. Parents must complete permission forms for off‑campus activities.
For volunteer or parent‑provided transportation, drivers must carry required insurance and follow NTX vehicle and safety policies.
Media release: By consenting, parent/guardian grants NTX permission to photograph, record, and use the student’s image, voice, or work in NTX publications, website, social media, and promotional materials without compensation. Withdrawal of consent stops future use but does not retract prior uses. NTX will not sell student images.
Directory release: By consenting, parent/guardian permits NTX to publish the student’s name, grade, parent/guardian contact information, and preferred contact details in a directory accessible to NTX families, staff, and authorized partners. Opt‑out halts future listings only.
Parent/guardian authorizes NTX to obtain and disclose educational records and transcripts with accredited partner institutions (LETU, TSCU) and other authorized entities for enrollment, credit evaluation, advising, reporting, and accreditation. NTX limits disclosures to the minimum necessary.
NTX is an independent facilitator and not an agent or employee of partner institutions; NTX is not responsible for partner institution policies, grading, or transfer determinations.
Enrollment constitutes acceptance of handbook terms, releases, and waivers. Parent/guardian releases, waives, and covenants not to sue NTX, its board, staff, volunteers, partners, and specified individuals (including Chasity Smith and LaMiya Smith) for claims arising from enrollment or participation, except for willful misconduct or gross negligence proven in court.
Parent/guardian agrees to indemnify and hold NTX harmless from claims arising from the student’s actions, omissions, or breach of handbook policies.
Limitation of liability: To the fullest extent allowed by law, NTX’s aggregate liability for any claim related to enrollment or participation is limited to the total fees paid by the family to NTX during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. NTX is not liable for consequential, punitive, or special damages except as required by law.
Governing law and venue: This handbook is governed by Texas law; venue for disputes is Dallas County, Texas, unless alternative dispute resolution applies. Parties may be required to pursue mediation or arbitration where permitted.
Families are responsible for timely payment of registration, tuition, graduation, honors, activity, and volunteer shortfall fees. NTX may withhold transcripts, diplomas, or access for unpaid balances. Refund and cancellation policies vary by program and are set by NTX; payment plan agreements must be in writing.
NTX collects and stores student records for educational and accreditation purposes. NTX protects records with administrative safeguards and limited access. Parents may request access to records per applicable law; formal requests follow NTX records procedures.
Requests for fee adjustments, volunteer exemptions, accommodations, or appeals must be submitted in writing to NTX administration. Appeals are reviewed and decisions documented in the student file. NTX may grant exceptions for documented hardship at its discretion.
NTX reserves the right to amend handbook policies, fees, schedules, and procedures with notice to families by email or posted updates. Continued enrollment after notice constitutes acceptance of amended terms. Important changes affecting safety or participation will be communicated promptly.
