The NTX Student Book Club is more than just a reading group—it’s a community-powered initiative where students grow as readers, thinkers, and leaders. Open to middle and high school students, the club explores meaningful literature through thoughtful discussion and peer-led exploration.
What makes this club special? It’s fully student-led. Members help select books, guide conversations, and shape the reading calendar. From fiction that fuels imagination to stories that spark dialogue about life, identity, and change—our reading list is both bold and inspiring.
In the spirit of giving back, club members will also have the opportunity to serve the community by reading age-appropriate books aloud to younger children at local libraries. This service element not only fosters literacy but allows older students to mentor and inspire the next generation.
Whether you're a lifelong book lover or just starting to find your voice, there’s a place for you in the NTX Book Club.
Students may join at any point in the semester and are welcome to suggest titles for future discussion. To enroll please email bookclub@ntxhomeschool.org.
25'-26' Co-Op, Club and Organization Enrollment Day is July 18th at 7pm. Come find out more about our co-op, clubs, organizations, have fun, and ENROLL! For more information please email admissions@ntxhomeschool.org.
This summer, we’re diving into two powerful titles selected by students themselves:
Scythe by Neal Shusterman – A thrilling dystopian novel that explores life, death, and moral choice in a future without natural death.
Piecing Me Together by Renée Watson – A moving coming-of-age story about identity, mentorship, and finding your voice.
Students may choose one, both, or explore excerpts of each. The goal is thoughtful reading and community discussion.
Our first informal discussion (covering the opening chapters of both books) will begin the second week of July. Select your summer reads and get started today! 📖
Formal club enrollment opens in August, with in-person and virtual opportunities to join. Book Club enrollment is free with enrollment into our co-op.
Parents are encouraged to preview the books—both include meaningful themes that may lead to important conversations.
